Delivering exactly what its title promises, this celebration of stupidity was Jim Carrey's 1994 follow-up to Ace Ventura: Pet Detective and The Mask. The film pairs the rubber- faced wacky man with Jeff Daniels as the not-so-dynamic duo of Lloyd and Harry, dunderheads who come into the possession of a briefcase containing ransom money that is intended for Mob-connected kidnappers. Lauren Holly costars as the woman who lost the briefcase, and with whom Carrey f! alls in love (both in real life and as his moronic on-screen character). As Lloyd and Harry make a mad dash to return the briefcase (never aware of its contents), the bumbling buddies attract Mobsters, cops, and trouble galore. This lowbrow laugh-a-thon scores some solid hits for hilarity, but with gags involving ill-fated parakeets, buxom bimbos, and an overdose of laxatives, be prepared to put your brain--and good taste--on hold. --Jeff Shannon

Emma Roberts, Sara Paxton and pop sensation JoJo star in an adventure that's "the sweetest treat since Princess Diaries!" (Yahoo! Movies)

It's the end of summer and Claire (Roberts) and Haile! y (JoJo) have a major problem. In just five days, Hailey's family is moving halfway around the world! These girls need a major miracle, and they get one in the form of Aquamarine, a beautiful mermaid who washes ashore in a late summer storm. Sweet but clueless to the ways of romance, she offers to grant the girls one wish if they help her find the boy of her dreams. But when they attempt to reel in the cute local lifeguard, the result is something none of them expect and they discover that sometimes what you wish for isn't what you really want after all!The sun, the sand, and a sweet sassy mermaid--what more could any young girl want from summer? Claire (Emma Roberts, Nancy Drew: The Mystery in Hollywood Hills) and Hailey (JoJo, R.V.) go giddy at the sight of hunky lifeguard Raymond (Jake McDorman). When a storm washes a mermaid named Aquamarine (Sara Paxton, Sleepover) into a swimming pool, Claire and Hailey agree to help her find love--even if it's wi! th Raymond--because Aquamarine will grant them a wish that wil! l keep H ailey from having to move away to Australia. Parents of preteen girls may approach Aquamarine with dread, but the movie's formulaic beginnings are given a heartening twist; the movie starts by wallowing in Cosmogirl-fueled boy-craziness, but finishes as an unexpectedly touching paean to friendship (with some surprisingly down-to-earth suggestions about romance). Roberts and JoJo are a charming duo, eager to be older than they are, but in the end growing up no faster than they need to. Also featuring Bruce Spence, known to some viewers as the Gyro Captain from The Road Warrior and to others as the voice of a shark in Finding Nemo. --Bret FetzerSeven pale blue aquamarine stones form a gentle S-shaped curve in this elegant journey pendant, presented in 10 karat white gold. The round, faceted aquamarines are held in shared prong settings and graduated in size. This arrangement is meant to symbolize the notion that life is a journey, and that lo! ve grows over time and experience. A beautiful gift choice, this pendant measures just over an inch long and is featured on a delicate 18-inch rope chain that fastens with a spring ring clasp. March's birthstone derives its name from the Latin words meaning water and sea. A stone of youthfulness, courage, and foresight, aquamarine is said to have been worn by sailors to help keep them safe at sea. This pendant is also available with birthstones for January, February, April, May, June, July, August, September, October, November, and December.

Experience all the mystery and fun of their unforgettable adventure in the beloved movie that captivated audiences around the world.Steven Spielberg's 1982 hit about a stranded alien and his loving relationship with a fatherless boy (Henry Thomas) struck a chord with audiences everywhere, and it furthered Spielberg's reputation as a director of equally strong commercial sensibilities and classical leanings. Henry Thomas gives a strong, emotional performance as E.T.'s young friend, Robert MacNaughton and Drew Barrymore make a solid impression as his siblings, and Dee Wallace is liv! ely as the kids' mother. The special effects almost look a bit quaint now with all the computer advancements that have occurred since, but they also have more heart behind them than a lot of what we see today. --Tom Keogh

Werner Herzog: Encounters in the Natural World [Blu-ray]

  • 4-Disc Box Set
  • UK Import
  • Blu-ray
  • Region-Free
In the most hostile, barren, alien environment on the planet...you meet the most interesting people. Welcome to Antarctica - like you've never experienced it. You've seen the extraordinary marine life, the retreating glaciers and, of course, the penguins, but leave it to award-winning, iconoclastic filmmaker Werner Herzog (Grizzly Man, Rescue Dawn) to be the first to explore the South Pole's most fascinating inhabitants...humans. In this one-of-kind documentary, Herzog turns his camera on a group of remarkable individuals, "professional dreamers" who work, play and struggle to survive in a harsh landscape of mesmerizing, otherworldly beauty - perhaps the last frontier on earth.Just about anywhere Werner Herzog goes becomes an interesting place, in part because the director shapes it with his distinctively sardonic eye. In Encounters at the End of the World, the 'Zog heads off to Antarctica, finding there a population of unusual people, hallucinatory underwater life, and penguins. He doesn't appear on camera, but the unmistakably Teutonic Herzog voice is very much with us all the time, a baleful tour guide for this blank destination. In the human outposts of Antarctica, Herzog finds the kind of people you might expect would gravitate to the edge of existence--the curious, the oddball, the wanderers who've run out of other places to explore. He finds some deadpan hilarity, especially in filming a communication drill involving people practicing blizzard conditions (they wear buckets over their heads while roped together). The underwater photography (a realm previously explored in Herzog's The Wild Blue Yonder) is by Henry Kaiser, and it meshes perfectly with the director's interest in alien eye-scapes. And when Herzog finally does find penguins, his imagination goes to the idea that! some penguins go insane, scurrying off into their own suicida! l direct ions. This isn't as arresting a film as Grizzly Man, but it is an entertaining travelogue spiked with quirky observations. --Robert HortonENCOUNTERS AT THE END OF THE WORLD - DVD MovieJust about anywhere Werner Herzog goes becomes an interesting place, in part because the director shapes it with his distinctively sardonic eye.
